We are currently recruiting for a
Holdbay Supervisor based in one of our busy hubs in
Milton Keynes, 45 hours per week, Monday - Friday or Tuesday - Saturday between 07:00 - 17:00.


The role will ensure supervision of all aspects of operations to ensure control of all aspects of the warehouse site operations, to include receipt of parcels into the warehouse and hold bay section ensuring that all KPI's are achieved in line with requirements


Key responsibilities:


  • Hold Bay Management
  • Investigating and resolving delivery address issues, Scanning into holdbay, Returning parcels as per 5 day rule, Ensure TPC due list is actioned daily.


  • Damage Bay management

  • Damage inspections, Repairing parcels to send back out for delivery or to the sender.
  • RSD management ensuring parcels are in correct location and sent out on the required day or placed into the customer collect area.
  • Ensure that all aspects of the warehouse operation are conducted in a timely manner, in accordance with the requirements of the business, to include: unloading vehicles, scanning and sorting freight by agreed and stipulated deadlines.
  • Ensure that all equipment is maintained in good working order and repairs and checks are conducted at regular intervals as required.
  • Ensure defect reports are completed in accordance with company policy

Equipment to include:
Weight scales, scanners, fork lift trucks, electric pallet trucks, hand pallet trucks, conveyors, cages etc.

  • Ensure that all aspects of the operation meet the company standards. Where shortfalls are identified plan and track remedial action.
  • Support Site Management in arranging/conducting training as required.
  • Ensure warehouse operation is compliant with issuing and wearing of company PPE
  • Ensure compliance in all aspects of Health and Safety, to include issue of SOMS and conducting Risk Assessments.
  • Ensure staffing levels meet the needs of the operation.

Skills & Experience required:


  • Minimum of 1 year working in a comparable or acting supervisory role
  • Knowledge of resource management and deployment
  • Excellent communicator able to provide, receive and implement operational information and instruction
