Digital Catapult is looking for a knowledgeable Marketing Executive who will be part of the Marcomms Team (Marketing, Communications and Events), working closely with various departments in the company and reporting to the Marketing and Communication Manager.

This role will work across our broad range of day-to-day marketing activities across our programmes.


This is an exciting role for someone looking to make the next step in their B2B marketing and communications career, one with plenty of opportunities to get hands on and stuck in.

What you will do;

You will be playing a key role in assisting the Marketing and Communications Managers with delivery and execution of integrated multi-channel growth marketing campaigns related to our programmes.


We are looking for someone passionate about developing a career in marketing and excited to take a hands-on approach, gaining experience delivering a wide range of marketing activities.


These will include (but are not limited to):

  • Planning, managing, and executing paid social campaigns from setup, strategy, optimisation to reporting
  • Proofreading and editing of marketing materials and content


  • Agency management

  • Working with our design teams and agencies to develop supporting collateral, graphics, reports, publications and materials and ensuring briefs, budgets and timings are clear and that our suppliers are informed and kept up to date.
  • Support on video production creating briefs, proposed questions, attending shoots and managing crew as well as overview edits and final output
  • Marketing our events across our channels and with our network
  • Briefing the Marcomms Team on collaborative work and cross team integration
  • Building web pages in our CMS systems (WordPress)
  • Continual monitoring of campaign performance
  • Monthly reporting and analysis of our marketing and comms activities
  • Assist the Marketing and Communications Managers with delivery and execution of marketing campaigns
  • External partner and agency liaison to support programme and marcomms deliverables

Requirements:


  • Relevant marketing experience in a marketing or agency role is required, experience within B2B, the technology sector or within telecommunications is also desirable
  • Strong communication and writing and editing skills with strong attention to detail
  • Able to work collectively as a team and autonomously / independently on individual projects
  • Excellent organisation / planning skills with the ability to work across multiple projects and work with multiple stakeholders at a time and juggle competing priorities
  • Selfmotivated, driven and able to get stuck in, a quick learner who learns best by doing, who can hit the ground running
  • Ability to form successful working relationships with colleagues across the business
  • Adaptability able to deal with a fast pace, rapid change and able to work within an exciting and dynamic environment, which can at times feel ambiguous
  • A solutions person with a creative flair, mindset and eye able to create visually appealing and on brand materials
  • Use and knowledge of marketing tools including Google Analytics, WordPress, Mail Chimp, Trello, Salesforce
  • Strong understanding of the digital landscape and performance marketing and an integrated digital marketing approach (all media types not just paid).
  • Ideally educated to degree level in a business or marketing related field or with equivalent level of experience
