Role Purpose:


The Product and Services Coordinator (Careers) role is accountable for assisting a Product Manager in the end-to-end delivery of CITB products or services, for which they will be a product expert.

The role holder will work with colleagues across a number of teams to maintain customer driven products and services to meet the requirements of CITB's strategic objectives and the needs of industry.


Key Product Focus:

SkillBuild, delivered by CITB, is the largest multi-trade competition in the UK for construction trainees and apprentices.

Competitions are designed to raise the quality and standards across industry, and champion apprenticeships and technical education as prestigious career routes for all young people.


SkillBuild Product:

the role holder will be accountable for the event delivery of our industry leading skill competitions often referred to as the Construction Skill Olympics.

The role holder will be required to support the onsite delivery so travel and frequent overnight stay will be required.

Go Construct STEM Ambassador scheme, delivered in partnership with STEM Learning, is the largest industry volunteering ambassador programme UK.

The programme trains, equips and supports a community of industry ambassadors to illuminate the wide range and breadth of careers available.

They engage with young people right across the UK to inspire the next generation to consider a career with Construction and the Built Environment.


Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:


  • Delivery and performance of products and services within the Careers Products portfolio SkillBuild & STEM Ambassadors among other products.
  • Coordinate the delivery of products and service by coordinating delivery activity across a variety of teams (internal & external).
  • Review product and service delivery against service levels agreements and product milestones.
  • Work with the finance team to monitor the financial performance of products and services.
  • Provide a dedicated point of contact for the product or services to internal and external teams, individuals and stakeholders.
  • Manage the resolution of complaints that are received by or referred to Product Management.
  • Review data from a variety of sources to help monitor performance and report on delivery.
  • Make recommendations to help operational delivery on data and product knowledge.
  • Share product data across Product Management and other teams as appropriate.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with managers and other colleagues from a variety of teams across CITB.
  • Engage with customers, partners, suppliers, and other stakeholders outside CITB.
  • Represent CITB at internal and externals meetings, events and competitions related to product delivery and operations.
  • Develop and maintain product knowledge and understanding on an ongoing basis including how the product aligns with other CITB products and the wider CITB offering.
  • Contribute to decision making around future development of the product
  • Make decision and recommendation with set parameters
  • Persuading and influencing skills required internally, with colleagues and externally with suppliers, customers, employers and others engaged with their products and services.

Essential:

  • Experience of delivering Products and/or Services.
  • Experience of Event delivery.
  • Experience of working in a Product/Service Environment.
