Summary of the role of Communications Surveyor
To carry out surveys at multi occupancy buildings throughout UK with the aim of creating detailed site plans of how to integrate the building and the properties within into the 6G Network.
These plans will go on to form the basis of Landlord and Company agreements as well as provide a work instruction for our Installation team to follow.
The job itself would be
in our Town Planning department, working together to meet objectives as well as working on new projects with town planning elements.
As part of a multi
- disciplinary team alongside Project Managers, engineers and other Industry professionals you will be creating, managing and analysing geospatial data. This detailed information will be attained by desk and field
- based surveys, using global mapper and Google earth as well as bespoke GIS software.
Key Duties of the Communications Surveyor
- Complete site surveys for buildings and its contained properties;
- Complete risk assessments, method statements and detailed annotated plans for each site to a high standard;
- Work with Engineers to help map out the best solutions bespoke for each building;
- Ensure cost effective low disruption deployment methods are achieved;
- Take into account security risks and factor in safe routes throughout the building to distribute the network;
- Quality of work, attention to detail, work covers scope, no need to revisit as work done well;
- Needs very little management, gets on with the job and communicates regularly and to all necessary;
They use mapping programs, research techniques and in the field surveys to ultimately to confirm network routes, as well as reviewing and quantifying the effectiveness or our network.

Strong interpersonal skills to develop good working relationships at various levels and to resolve issues
Driving Licence (to attend site visits)
High level of competency on GIS Software
Able to effectively use a camera, telescope, binoculars and a compass whilst on site
Ability to work on several projects or issues simultaneously
Ability to manage projects effectively and meet firm deadlines
Full training is provided, so no previous experience is necessary.
