Description

The post holder will be the senior operational lead for the Research & Innovation service within the Trust and responsible for the contributing to the strategic development, management and co-ordination of the research and innovation activity of the Trust in the context of national policy initiatives and developments and national and European legislative developments.

They will have primary responsibility for delivery of performance standards across the Research and Innovation workstreams, which include research governance and quality funding and contracts, research performance (including initiation and delivery of research).


This will be in collaboration with key stakeholders including the National Institute of Health and Care Research (NIHR) Clinical Research Network, Health Innovation Manchester, the NIHR Manchester Biomedical Research Centre and Clinical Research Facility, local universities including the University of Manchester and internal stakeholders.

The role will also support the improvement of mental health services by making the evidence base accessible and developing dissemination strategies.

The post holder will need to be an effective at fostering strong partnership with individuals and organisations.
