Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assisting with completion of monthly management accounts
  • Assisting with completion of statutory financial statements
  • Providing cover for the Finance Manager
  • Full monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Preparing the monthly VAT return
  • Overseeing and assisting with the recharging of damages and fines to customers
  • Reviewing damage and off hire reports prepared by depots
  • Creation of detailed process notes to support team when covered is required
  • Daily cash flow update
  • Daily bank reconciliation
  • Assisting with monthly cash flow forecast
  • Posting of hire purchase payments
  • Approving the weekly banking
  • Liaising with depots and responding to monthly management account queries
  • Posting and checking of prepayments and accruals
  • Ad hoc tasks and reporting as required

REQUIREMENTS

  • Part qualified by experience or part qualified (ACCA/CIMA)
  • Experience of working in the vehicle hire industry or similar would be advantageous

PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

  • Efficient and timely completion of all tasks
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Good working knowledge of FRS 102
