Senior Finance Assistant - Glasgow, United Kingdom - Gap Hire Ltd.
Description
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assisting with completion of monthly management accounts
- Assisting with completion of statutory financial statements
- Providing cover for the Finance Manager
- Full monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparing the monthly VAT return
- Overseeing and assisting with the recharging of damages and fines to customers
- Reviewing damage and off hire reports prepared by depots
- Creation of detailed process notes to support team when covered is required
- Daily cash flow update
- Daily bank reconciliation
- Assisting with monthly cash flow forecast
- Posting of hire purchase payments
- Approving the weekly banking
- Liaising with depots and responding to monthly management account queries
- Posting and checking of prepayments and accruals
- Ad hoc tasks and reporting as required
REQUIREMENTS
- Part qualified by experience or part qualified (ACCA/CIMA)
- Experience of working in the vehicle hire industry or similar would be advantageous
PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
- Efficient and timely completion of all tasks
- Excellent attention to detail
- Proficient use of Microsoft Excel and Word
- Good working knowledge of FRS 102
