Sheltered Resilience Officer

Permanent

37 hours per week

Scale 5a (£26,421 - £27,334 per annum)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Sheltered Resilience Officer to work within the Sheltered Housing service. You will work at any of the Sheltered Housing schemes across the town, providing housing management support to sheltered tenants. You will be responsible for managing a number of schemes, carrying out regular contacts with tenants, completing support plans and risk assessments and responding to emergency calls from tenants.


The successful applicant will have experience of working with vulnerable customers with a range of social and housing needs, be confident and self-motivated and have the ability to work independently and as part of a dispersed team.

An understanding of professional boundaries together with excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
A minimum of 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) to include Maths and English, at grade 4/C or above is essential.

Blackpool Coastal Housing was set up by Blackpool Council in 2007 to manage their housing stock of almost 5,000 properties.

Our Care and Repair Service allows Blackpool residents to remain in their own homes through the Adaptations team providing the necessary aids/adaptations for this to be achieved.

The More Positive Together (MPT) and MPT Steps Programmes help provide support to local residents in accessing the employment market, as well as BCH providing typical Housing Service functions of Rents, Lettings, ASB and Neighbourhoods.
