With over 200,000 clients across the UK and Europe, this established health and welfare organisation are seeking an experienced, IT professional to assist with current technical growth, BAU and Infrastructure Projects and Improvements.


Your responsibilities will involve several disciplines from providing on-premises and cloud infrastructure transitions ensuring systems and services are highly available and have sufficient capacity to perform optimally in the Cloud.


Technical Requirements:


  • Working SQL knowledge (Microsoft SQL Server and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (T-SQL)
  • Microsoft SQL server Integrated Services (SSIS) including ETL/ELTL design and development experience
  • Experience of working with Azure technologies including Data Lake gen 2, Data Factory, Synapse, Analysis Services, Power BI
  • Microsoft DevOps or Microsoft Visual Studio Team System source control software and development lifecycle software
  • Developing and maintaining objects within OLAP Data Warehouses
  • Metadata management / Data quality
  • Microsoft Office 365

Role Requirements:


  • To monitor and maintain ETL processes to ensure the continuation of an accurate data reporting platform for the business
  • To explore solutions for optimising the performance of the strategic data platform pipelines
  • To always follow development design principles
  • Help identify and implement the approach to data modelling our business processes in a manner that allows for agile implementation and improvement
  • Technical implementation of process protocols, quality measures and outcome definitions that allow us to use our data as Real-World evidence
  • Work with the analytics team to understand and build solutions that combine internal insight, patient outcomes and external data feeds creating an opportunity to explore big data and machine learning algorithms
  • Support the implementation of the security controls that ensure patient data privacy and full compliance with the Data Protection Act / GDPR
  • Help develop and implement the strategic data platform for insights including support to NHS National KPIs and standard operational/financial reporting, Standard Pharma Offerings, Bespoke Customer Solutions, Commercial/Financial Analytics/Planning and InternalSelf-Service reporting.
  • Help define the use cases and methods that take us into the cloud identify key processes where BI can link our business operations with our patients.
  • Help develop and implement the data acquisition strategy ensuring that data is available when needed, accurate and understood.
  • Ensure that solutions are produced in a way that is easy to support and document engaging with the service desk and service delivery teams to provide the best user experience.
  • Develop and monitor adherence to development protocols that provide the highest levels of quality and efficiency
  • Keeping the BI Platforms Manager always appraised on progress against plans, including an update on schedule of tasks and priorities.
  • Contribute to the identification of new business opportunities e.g., potential to gather new data or make better use of existing data, attending internal new service development meetings with wider teams.
  • Promote data driven methods and processes to the BI Team and the wider business

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate (Exam DP203)
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (Exam AZ900)
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals (Exam DP900)
  • Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate (Exam DA100)
