_Solution Delivery Lead (IT Project Manager) - Permanent - Based in Hindlip, Worcester_:

This is a unique opportunity for a confident, independent Project Manager to work alongside a major crime organization within West Mercia.

The postholder will be responsible for identifying key milestones and continuously seek to improve technical outcomes
- ultimately, providing high quality, professional ICT services.

  • Responsibilities of the role:_
  • Endtoend scheduling, management, and delivery of technical packages of work
  • Working on the technical delivery of projects as applicable in the Solution Delivery Team
  • Understanding of business needs, and implement technology solutions in line with the changing IT landscape
  • Using industry standard projects management tools and processes to manage ICT solution delivery of assigned projects
  • To ensure projects are delivered to time, schedule, quality, cost, process, performance and scope while managing vendors, suppliers and their dependencies
  • Project variations being identified and avoided
  • To take control of finances to ensure that budgets and cost are tightly managed
  • To plan the project into operational services in accordance with agreed policies
  • Working closely with the Solutions Delivery Manager
  • To delegate for the Solution Delivery Manager as required
  • To represent and promote the reputation of Digital Services at various meetings and groups
  • Requirements of the role:_
  • Experience in project, programme and portfolio management specifically in scope, performance, cost control, delivery, scheduling, resourcing, risk management and demand management
  • Experience with financial control relating to project delivery
  • Proven experience of contract design and management
  • Experience in the delivery of highly technical solutions in complex IT environments
  • Experience of leading and managing technical teams in a large multifaceted organisation
  • Ability to plan, organise ad deliver projects to tight deadlines and budgets
  • Ability to work on own initiative and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Being a team player with successful coordination of internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Able to express complex ideas in an effective manner for target audiences
  • Ability to be professional and influential on key issues at Local, Regional and National levels
  • High level of oral and written communication
  • Expert use of IT, in particular the project management software
  • Capable of formulating statements of work for delivering ICT work packages
