Purchasing/Warehouse Supervisor

Hours:
Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week /

Salary:
£30,000-£35,000 per annum

Location:
Sheffield

Contract Type:
Temporary to Permanent

Duties/ Responsibilities:


  • The warehouse and purchasing supervisor will be responsible for the efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of a wide range of goods including tools, machinery, PPE and clothing, while implementing measures to increase the company's effectiveness and efficiency
  • Stock rotation and control
  • Operating fork lift truck
  • Making continuous improvements
  • Supervising and managing a team of up to 23 people
  • Maintain standards of health, safety, hygiene and security in the work environment
  • Maintain housekeeping of warehouse, yard and site maintenance
  • Ensure the workplace health and safety requirements are met, take responsibility for the security of building and stock
  • Run shift with safety and efficiency as priorities

Experience and Skills:


  • Have at least three years of experience in warehousing
  • Ideally to hold a FLT licence
  • To have experience operating a forklift truck
  • To live local to the company's site in Sheffield
  • Have own transport
