Cedar is currently partnered with private-equity backed agritech business in search of an Assistant Accountant on a 12-month fixed term contract, paying £40,000 pro rata.

The Role

The goal is to support the transactional finance function, reporting to the Finance Manager.

This role offers opportunities to develop international working knowledge with exposure to multiple currencies, along with communication skills to senior stakeholders & external parties.


  • Review, allocate and seek approval for invoices from suppliers and input into Sage, ensuring the correct VAT treatment
  • Active support & delivery to timetable with the monthly reporting
  • Accurate and timely processing of Concur Expenses & Invoices platform
  • Delivering excellence through policy adherence and reporting
  • Ensuring all accounts payable transactions are correctly posted to the General Ledger using appropriate cost centre or balance sheet codes
  • Preparing multicurrency payment runs on a regular
  • Other ad hoc duties as required
Your Profile

The successful Assistant Accountant will ideally have:

  • 3+ years of Accounting and AP experience
  • Intermediate to advanced excel skills (MUST)
  • Demonstrable knowledge of AP and Expense processing and an understanding of wider
financial team responsibilities.

  • Multientity and multicurrency experience
  • Strong analysis skills, delivering valuable insights into performance variations.
  • High level of written and spoken English (And Spanish beneficial)
