The Role


We are looking for an individual to join our team on a major UK construction project as a site-based Project Planner starting at the Havant Thicket Reservoir Project, Hampshire.

You will provide assistance to the Project Manager and Contract Manager.

This is a site-based role, starting at the Havant Thicket Reservoir Project, Hampshire.

Thereafter,
you will need to be committed, reliable, flexible both in terms of UK travel (and staying away overnight where required) and range of tasks performed and possess a good team-working ethic.

Tasks Include:


  • Creating, maintaining, reviewing and administering the construction programme in Oracle Primavera P6;
  • Producing monthly updates in line with the contractual requirements of the project;
  • Liaising with the project team to discuss the progress of the project and address any issues that arise;
  • Liaising with the commercial team to track change and prepare programmes to support commercial claims;
  • Liaising with external contractors and suppliers to organize the phases of the construction development;
  • Keeping the team up to date on progress;
  • Present information for internal meetings on the project;
  • Producing short term lookahead programmes;
  • Producing phasing plans to demonstrate the programme visually;
  • Updating programme with actual costs and producing monthly Earned Value Analysis reports.

Minimum Requirements:


  • Proven experience in use of Oracle Primavera P
  • Degree in civil engineering (or similar) or equivalent proven experience
  • Experience on recognition and recording of any change requirements
  • Experience in actively measuring and monitoring performance
  • Strong communication including writing programme change schedules.
  • Understanding of the NEC construction contracts and a knowledge of how to develop a programme in line with the requirements.
  • Computer literacy with good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and other Microsoft Office programmes.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Full UK Driving Licence is also required.
