JOB OVERVIEW
The International Study Centre needs an experienced and accomplished Student Experience Support Officer - Operations.

The post holder will undertake a variety of tasks including supporting visa compliance processes, student records management, assisting with visa compliance activities and providing support to the academic and SMT where necessary.


This is a fast-paced environment and the successful applicant will have proven customer service skills and previous experience working with international students, and possess excellent IT, communication and organisational skills.

The post holder will be working in an open-plan office, so it is important they enjoy working as part of a team.


ABOUT THE ROLE

Assessments

  • Work closely with the Student Experience Coordinator
  • Operations to ensure the student assessment calendar is produced in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with the Student Experience Coordinator
  • Operations to manage the production and approval of examination papers.
  • Work with the Student Experience Coordinator
  • Operations, and Heads of Department, to ensure that assessment marking is completed and recorded in the SRS by required deadlines.
  • To provide administrative support in the Course Assessment Board process.
  • To provide administrative support in the planning, production and maintenance of examination and reassessment timetables.

Compliance

  • To work with the Student Experience Coordinator
  • Operations to ensure we are fully compliant with all student information.
  • To work with the Student Experience Coordinator
  • Operations to ensure Police registration records are up to date for all our students, ensuring we have the relevant data in file and recorded on Study Group databases.
  • Maintenance of electronic student files.
  • Ensure student details are kept up to date on central databases contact details, visa and passport information, sponsorship details etc.
  • Assisting with the management of the Centre's Alternative Collection Location and visa compliance monitoring.

Student Engagement

  • Assist in the preparation of student induction, including induction packs.
  • Assist and be involved in student induction and enrolment at the various intakes.
  • Assist with the administration of student attendance monitoring processes at peak times.
  • Assist with student social activities and field trips if required.

Administration

  • To deal with general student enquiries.
  • To deal with fee payment deadlines and enquiries.
  • To foster productive relations with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Production of student letters as requested.
  • Ordering stationery items and catering for the centre, as required.
  • Any other duties required by the Head of Student Experience.

ABOUT YOU

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification
  • Experience in producing and managing timetables in an educational context
  • Working in a fastpaced pressurised office environment
  • Experience of working in HE/FE environment (Desirable)
  • Evidence of working with International students (Desirable)
