The Mortimer Society is Registered Charity that runs two Residential Care Homes supporting individuals with Physical and Neurological conditions with a focus on Huntington's Disease.

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and competent Finance Assistant to support the Finance Manager to ensure the accurate and efficient operation of the Finance function across both Birling and Frindsbury House, based primarily at Birling House in Snodland.

We are looking for someone to work 20 hours per week, working 4 hours per day, ideally 10.00am-2.00pm each day.

Processing of sales and purchase Invoices onto the Sage 50 Accounting System.
Preparation of Journals on a monthly basis to assist with the monthend process.
General filing, petty cash reconciliations, and reconciliations of nominal and other required accounts.
Processing of Resident personal spending and supporting with the management of individuals personal accounts.
Recording of bank payable and receivable transactions to both the cashbooks and subsequently processing onto Sage.
Assisting with the debt collection process and liaising with authorities to ensure timely payments.
Preparation of payment runs on a regular basis, as well as other adhoc payment via BACS and cheque.
Assisting with our Annual financial Audit including preparation for the visit as well as liaising directly with Auditors.

Please be aware that the post holder may be required to travel to our other home on some occasions, so ability to travel between the homes would be a benefit.
