Description

This is a key role with responsibility for the effective planning of cable production, raw material procurement and efficient utilisation of plant and resource to meet customer demand, ensure product availability and deliver high levels of on time delivery to the customer.


  • Responsible for generating a detailed three day production plan to deliver high levels of customer service whilst ensuring the most efficient use of both plant and labour, considering skills, preventative maintenance and engineering activities.
  • Ensure the required levels of raw materials and packaging are maintained in accordance with the manufacturing plan through effective understanding and management of the supply chain.
  • Attend daily meetings with the Production Controller and Production Team to communicate the business position relating to orders and stocks and to present and agree the short and long term production schedule and labour requirements.
  • Communicate with the Commercial Department to provide updates on production order status, stocks and provide accurate product leadtimes for inquiries and new orders.
  • Update and maintain key process reports & measures to provide detailed information for both the commercial and production departments.


Ideally the applicant will have experience of working in a similar role, have experience of SAP or similar systems and will be required to demonstrate a high level of competency using MS Office Applications, specifically Excel.
