Description
We are currently seeking an
Operations Director to join a well-established, family-run SME based in
Hull.

As an Operations Director you will be responsible for operations management across the whole business including people leadership, customer service, facilities, logistics & home installation, warehouse & inventory management.

This isa key appointment that will improve efficiency within the business as well as ensuring all processes are geared towards future growth.

This is a really exciting opportunity which will well suit an experienced Operations Manager/Director who can influence,remove friction and ensure cohesion between all operational departments.

In return the business are offering a very attractive salary, individual bonus, car allowance and various perks.


Key responsibilities:


  • Manage direct cost budget including logistics, warehouse and installations
  • Manage direct reports; Logistics & Product Support Manager, Purchasing Administrator & Warehouse Manager
  • Support managers with development, people skills and recruitment (currently a team of 15 reporting to 3 direct reports)
  • Oversee zerodefects campaign to ensure no warehouse, stock or people errors reach customers
  • Working on the business with managing director, commercial director and marketing & retail director to scale the business to double its size over the next 3 years
  • Create and improve policies and processes
  • Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations

Requirements:


  • People management, leadership, training & development, recruitment
  • Customer service background
  • Experience in logistics and fleet management and preferably home delivery & installation
  • Experience in warehouse, inventory management and light assembly/production
  • Facilities management including relocating the premises 15 miles to a new larger facility in the next 12 months
  • Ability to work on the business alongside fellow directors
  • Full UK Driving License
  • Operations management and leadership experience
  • People management & development, customer service, business growth, logistics & fleet management warehouse, inventory and production experience
