Zaizi are looking for a Principal Consultant to engage and develop our clients in the Defence space by defining, optimising and delivering complex Digital transformations.

We're looking for someone who can take on top level engagement with our current client relationships, but also have the desire and drive to establish Zaizi's broader ambitions in the sector.

You'll be responsible for growing existing relationships, seeking new ones and owning and evolving the Zaizi strategy for the sector.

Requirements:


We are looking for somebody who understands the Defence sector, has existing relationships and the skills and ambition to lead Zaizi's expansion within Defence projects.


We are looking for a servant leader, somebody who can role model and inspire healthy engagement across the projects and clients they are working closest to.

The Role

  • Reporting to the Head of Sales, the Principal Consultant will develop the business plan for building an Defence focused club; including but not limited to:
  • Identifying specific customer needs within Defence and developing a sales pipeline;
  • Partnering with and managing prime contractors to ensure appropriate framework access, opportunity and capability;
  • Working with product vendors to create a compelling proposition and execute as one.
  • Working with and supporting the Club Exec to ensure the existing client is thrilled with the work we deliver for them and increasing the existing revenue by £1 million.
  • Working with the recruitment team to build an associate network of DV cleared staff.
  • Working with our QSMF to ensure, we implement the appropriate security controls. Where appropriate, help us obtain and implement List Accreditation.
  • Ultimately, this role has the potential to become a Club Exec role, owning the full profit and loss responsibility for a Defence focused Club.

Requirements:

We would be looking for someone with experience and Personal Attributes such as;

  • Extensive experience in the Defence community;
  • Considerable experience working with or for public sector clients, especially central government.
  • Strong senior stakeholder management;
  • Significant experience leading business development activities across public sector opportunities;
  • Clear communication skills, and ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organisation;
  • Experience of digital services and agile delivery would be ideal.
  • Great understanding of Public Sector/Central Gov markets / environments.
  • Experience leading and developing teams both internally within your organisation, and with multidisciplinary teams on projects;
  • Significant experience in delivering organisationwide change and transformation programmes.
  • DV Cleared (nice to have)
  • Able and willing to travel to customer and partner sites.
