EA First are partnering with an impressive Financial Services organisation on the outskirts on Cambridge to secure an Interim Financial controller for 6 months.

This role can be fully remote for the right individual.

You will support the Finance team in managing the control environment of the finance function, ensuring regulatory and statutory compliance.

A financial services business that has just had record profit year and due to internal progression are looking to recruit an interim Financial Controller, whilst they look to hire a permanent individual.

This client has a strong focus on their customers and local community and are looking to bring on board a like-minded individual.

This key technical Financial controller position will ensure regulatory and statutory compliance.

Responsibilities of the interim Financial Controller will include:

Statutory reporting under UK GAAP, FRS 10
Tax compliance
Regulatory reporting
Supporting the CFO in maintaining appropriate technical knowledge and keep up to date with developments in financial and regulatory reporting matters

Financial accounting and control

Timely and accurate recording of financial transactions for all group companies
Monthly reconciliation of financial systems and ledger balances to provide timely and accurate monthly trial balance.
Ensuring compliance with Treasury policy. Breaches reported directly to the Chief Executive Officer

Statutory financial reporting

Group and subsidiary Annual Report and accounts to audit standard
Preparation of consolidated group and company monthly results for management accounts
Manage the external audit process.
Experience of working in Financial Services is a must, due to having a strong understanding of regulated environments.
ACA, ACCA or CIMA
Immediately available or available on a short notice
Salary of up to £80,000 available also on a day rate and potential to fall outside of IR35.
