Description

Metalis are working with a well established company who manufacture components for the offshore drilling and oil and gas industries.


They are looking to recruit a permanent maintenance engineer to join their site in Sheffield on a days regular basis.


Duties:


  • Interpret equipment and plant layout drawings; mechanical and electrical.
  • Produce documentary evidence and carry out scheduled maintenance of plant and equipment in accordance with schedule and legislative requirements ensuring that maintenance records are kept up to date.
  • Respond to machine and plant equipment breakdowns, carry out necessary repairs.
  • Carry out PPM.

Competences:


  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Good fault finding skills.
  • Electrical knowledge and mechanical bias.
  • A good understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
