Page Personnel are recruiting for a Financial Accountant on behalf of a fast growing, private equity backed business based in Salford Quays.
The purpose of this role is to provide financial accounting & audit support to the business.Client Details
Our client is the result of a joint venture between a mid-market infrastructure investment management business and one of the UK's leading private real estate investment and infrastructure companies.
Description
Financial Accountant duties include:
Audit and Accounting
- Assist in the year end audit for all legal entities
- Preparation of audit reporting packs including P&L, BS & CF for all legal entities the consolidation pack.
- Liaise directly with external auditors to complete all necessary audit testing.
- Preparation of statutory financial statements to ensure compliance under FRS10
- With the senior members of the finance team on complex and judgemental accounting.
Tax
- Liaise directly with external tax advisors on annual tax returns and any adhoc projects including capital allowances.
Compliance reporting
- Preparation of quarterly compliance certificate required under our banking agreement.
- Preparation of any additional ad hoc banking requirements including management accounts and commentary.
Processes and financial control
- Ensure all accounting policies are aligned across the group and they implemented correctly.
- Recommend changes to the wider business to ensure we are moving forward and mitigating risks
- Staying up to date with any changes in accounting standards and understanding the potential impact to the group
- Streamline and improve processes to ensure they are robust for future growth
Management reporting
- Assist in the management reporting process by taking ownership of various control spreadsheets including the intercompany matrix & bank.
- Assist in the completion of balance sheet reconciliations.
- Streamline and improve management processes.
- Any other adhoc assistant to ensure management reporting deadlines are met.
Profile
- Have a proven track record within a similar role
- Have experience of working in audit OR being the main point of contact for audits in a previous role
- Be part qualified with ACA / CIMA / ACCA or be qualified by experience
- Be able to work alone or as part of a team
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Be proficient in MS Office, particularly MS Excel (Vlookups, Pivot Tables etc)
