The company is experienced lots exciting change and growth into new areas. Executing the right communications strategy is a core part of achieving the companies ambitious and exciting business goals.


You will join the growing business development team and help to maintain and grow the media courage across the firm.

You will work closely with the PR Manager to operate a responsive press office and make sure they are seen in the right titles, commentingon the right things and profiling key spokespeople.


What you will be doing:


  • Working closely with the PR Manager and PR Agency to keep on top of industry developments and flag potential issues for the company to be commenting on in the press
  • Monitoring the corporate Twitter and LinkedIn feeds for any news stories/potential reputation issues
  • Being the firm's press office: responding quickly and efficiently to journalist enquiries
  • Deliver reporting monthly and quarterly on our media successes
  • Distributing press releases and cultivating relationships with key sector journalists
  • Maintaining the media centre, uploading press releases and blogs to our website
  • Working with the PR Manager to deliver a media training programme across the firm
  • Working closely with colleagues in the BD team to ensure that our content and reports are given profile in the press
  • Working with the PR Manager and Brand and Marcomms Senior Exec to help deliver stand out award entries and with any other tasks as required
  • Helping to deliver multimedia assets such as media cards for key brand campaigns

Skills

  • Demonstrable copywriting skills and the ability to quickly analyse complex information and present it in an easy to understand, readable and engaging way
  • Able to write press releases and understand how journalists work
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • An interest in news and industry developments
  • An interest and knowledge of social media in a B2B context

Qualifications and experience

  • Graduate calibre with demonstrable communications experience, preferably within B2B professional or financial services
  • Proficiency in Microsoft products, especially Word, PowerPoint, Excel and database packages
