This is an exciting role for a highly experienced Design Team Leader to join our in-house creative visual design team.

You'll be reporting to the Head of Creative Design managing the graphic design department, helping to deliver creative projects and graphics for the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team.

We're looking for a multidisciplinary Design Team Leader with a strong portfolio who has extensive experience in delivering engaging and creative solutions for all aspects of design, including but not limited to; branding, illustrations, digital, print and signage.

Experience in event design and layout design would be advantageous for this role. This role requires extensive experience in managing multi-disciplinary Design Teams, mentoring, and maximising best in class creative talent.

As a custodian of the Mercedes-Benz brand and Mercedes-AMG Petronas identity you will produce engaging designs that reflect our brands, our values and support our business objectives.

The role:

End to end management and responsibility of the Mercedes F1 Graphic Design Team
You will be responsible for mentoring team members and developing the capability of the Graphic Design Team, whilst also providing focused handson creative and art direction
You will collaborate with the Head of Creative Design and Senior Brand Identity Manager to develop the brand and design strategy for the team, thus being responsible for the team's translation of the brand identity into graphic and digital design output
You will be responsible for the Graphic Design Team workflow and creative outputs, taking briefs from the Head of Creative Design, and key stakeholders in the business, and delivering graphic design work from concept to final artwork
Ensure the Graphic Design Team finish their designs in a timely manner and align these with the latest Mercedes-Benz Brand, Team Brand Identity and Partnership Guidelines
You bring creativity, diversity of ideas and innovation to the graphic designs. You enable the Graphic Design Team to deliver engaging and creative graphics, illustrations, digital material, presentations, signage, and print materials
Manage production and ordering processes so that designs and projects are delivered on time and to the agreed standard and cost
You will ensure effective resource deployment across the scope of work by managing demand vs delivery
You're confident in your ability to manage workload and make timely decisions with mínimal supervision, often within tight constraints and deadlines
Manage relationships with internal stakeholders at a senior level and a wide range of external suppliers, including architects and creative agencies
