£20,970 + Benefits


Here at Serco we're looking for a Credit Controller to join us and complete the Credit Control Service on behalf of Lincolnshire County Council and Serco ensuring the delivery of a quality service to customers and clients.

Key Accountabilities

Review debts in accordance with criteria and initiate appropriate recovery action.
Refer queries to originating departments as necessary and monitor receipt of responses.
Liaise with originating department regarding appropriate further recovery action/write off.
Refer complex debts to the Senior Credit Controller.
Access debtors to establish their financial circumstances and ability to pay.
Report any problems with the achievement of debt review targets to the Senior Credit Controller.
Review invoices and reminder letter for quality control.
Creating of subscription invoices and approval of credit notes.
Provide advice on debt recovery process as and when required.
Prepare debt cases for County Court action.
Assist the Credit Control & Compliance Manager & CC Co-ordinator with providing solutions to problems

What you'll need to do the role

A practical and extensive knowledge of all credit control procedures.
Experience of working within a financial environment.
An understanding of the requirements for controls and procedures within the credit management process of Agresso
Extensive IT skills, both PC packages and financial systems
Process change skills
Demonstrate a flexible approach to work and an ability to adapt to change.
Demonstrate the ability to communicate at all levels and adapt communication style as appropriate.
Well-developed problem solving skills.
Demonstrate willingness to build on knowledge and skills.
Ability to motivate self and others by own example.
Ability to work accurately, with good attention to detail, whilst meeting tight timescales.
