We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time band 4 physiotherapy assistant practitioner post within Medicine of Older Adults, at University Hospital Hairmyres.


We are a dynamic team who cover four MOA wards (2 acute and 2 rehabilitation wards) with a focus on service redesign/service improvement and individual CPD opportunities.


The post holder will implement and adapt treatment programmes within hospital and/or community settings for individuals / groups of patients.

You will use specialist technical and practical skills to deliver flexible, patient centred programmes.


Please note:
Duties may vary depending on the care group / department or assigned area of work.


Knowledge, Training and/or Experience required to do the job

  • Formal qualification at HNC Level or equivalent level of experience in a health / education / social care environment plus short specialist courses relevant to specific clinical area.
  • Awareness of health legislation relevant to the clinical area.
  • Knowledge of the clinical speciality/area process, techniques and / or activities relevant to client group.
  • Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Time management, planning and organisational skills.
  • Working knowledge of basic information technology.
  • Ability to work individually or as part of a team
  • Ability to learn and develop new skills and maintain a record of learning.
