Associate Director
London/Birmingham

As a Barclays Associate Director you will be joining the Large Corporate sector.

You will work with Corporate Bankers in all sales support activity to drive the growth and management of complex clients and large income opportunities.

A key part of the role will be deal origination, co-ordination of internal stakeholders and project management of the on-boarding of key transactions or relationships.

This role allows the jobholder to develop their skills and experience and forms a key step in the career path to becoming a Corporate Banker.

What will you be doing?

Being a key and leading member of the deal team in the execution of complex lending transactions, tenders and new deals
Assisting the Corporate Bankers in meeting required targets as indicated in the Banker Scorecard
Helping with the development of the client acquisition strategy through research, preparation and delivery of pitches, presentations, and tenders
Becoming an expert in the Industry your Banker's portfolios cover and colead a subsector or accountability for writing thought leadership to share with wider team
Ensuring accurate and timely updates within Salesforce for all clients covered including call reports, contact details, opportunity recording and general updates
Assisting with the creation, coordination and delivery of robust Client Account Plans, and contribute to Tapestry delivery to identify appropriate product solutions
Undertaking detailed meeting preparation, pitch books and term sheets and attend meetings with or without a Banker focused on opportunities to drive growth
Undertaking complex GPT pricing submissions and support with pricing committees as required

What we're looking for:

Ability to understand financial statements
Experience of relationship management

Skills that will help you in the role:

A broad knowoeldge of Corporate Banking products, services and policies
Ability to hold strategic client conversations internally and externally
L1 credit analysis certification
Understand complex debt structures

Where will you be working?
London

In the heart of Canary Wharf, our headquarters at Churchill Place boasts onsite amenities such as; a gym, staff restaurant and deli bar, and is easily accessible by tube and bus links.

With a population of around 5000 staff the atmosphere is second to none with a real buzz being created around the offices within.

Birmingham

Barclays Snowhill is at the heart of the professional district and commands a workforce of around 1000. With great transport links to Birmingham Grand Central and Snowhill train stations as well as the local metro. Our office has a dedicated staff coffee shop and deli and break out areas for staff. There is also a presentation theatre for client and staff events. Our office boasts a great working environment as well as opportunities to network across the city.
