Market leading Distribution Group based in Littlehampton, West Sussex, has an opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager to undertake the day to day management of all accounting activities for the Central Finance Function.


What will the Finance Manager role involve?

  • Daytoday ownership of all accounting activities, including sales and purchase ledger, accruals and prepayments, and other accounting entries;
  • Lead month end and yearend close processes, including presenting results to Finance team before closing the month;
  • Drive robust controls, working across the Finance team to ensure appropriate controls are in place and functioning well. Implement controls and systems to ensure risks are appropriately managed;
  • Lead preparation for, and management of, external audit and preparation of financial statements;
  • Ensuring balance sheet accounts are fully reconciled each month and lead monthly balance sheet review with Finance Director;
  • Prepare fiscal and regulatory returns, including VAT and Corporation Tax;
  • Support Global Treasury through preparation of cash flow forecasts;
  • Coordinate internal audit requirements and actions;
  • Support the successful implementation and golive of Dynamics 365 including supporting mapping of processes.
  • Applicants for the Finance Manager vacancy will hold a full accountancy qualification with previous experience of working in a similar position;
  • A proven track record of developing and maintaining strong systems and controls, in addition to experience of supporting a systems implementation, will be essential to undertake the role successfully.
