Germ cell and Sarcoma Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS)


An exciting opportunity has arisen tojoin the innovative, and dynamicGerm cell and Sarcoma Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) Team as a 0.8 WTE secondment for 10 months maternity leave cover from October 2023 to July 2024.


We are looking for an enthusiastic and self motivated registered nurse withexcellent communication skills and a willingness to go the extra mile.


We work closely with the consultant team inproviding a high standard of care for patient with a diagnosis of Germ cell and Sarcoma.


You will be working alongside the Band 7 CNS in supporting patients and their carers with a diagnosis of Germ cell and Sarcoma.


The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) team works closely with all the Bristol Haematology and Oncology Centre (BHOC) inpatient and outpatient teams, as well as teams in other centres providing expert knowledge, support and co ordination of care.


This role will also include the opportunity to manage your own caseload carry out holistic Need Assessment clinics and Nurse led telephone clinics.

Provide advice, support and information from diagnosis and throughout the patients pathway.

Work closely with the MDT in hospital and community to ensure a co-ordinated quality service.
