West ACC - Cardonald

East ACC - Norseman House

North ACC - King Duncan House

MPDS Quality Auditors x 3 (AFC Band 4)

The Ambulance Control Centres are responsible for receiving and managing 999 calls and medical requests for transport throughout the whole of Scotland.

We dispatch a range of assets in response to over 450,000 emergency incidents each year and offer clinical advice and support to patients in line with the current service strategy.

The Ambulance Control Centres use Medical Priority Dispatch System (MPDS) to ensure that supportive care and advice is given to patients prior to an ambulance response arriving on scene and ensure patients and stakeholders receive the most appropriate and safest response for their needs.

Reporting to the ACC Learning and Development Managers and working alongside the Practice Developers and service delivery teams, the post holder will undertake audit work using specialised software to provide up to date feedback to Emergency Call Handlers on the quality of care and service they are providing to patients.

The post holders will also provide Quality Assurance information to ACC Management Teams about the learning and development needs of staff as they present and will contribute to the education and learning of staff through targeted CDE programmes.

**NHS Scotland is reducing their full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period, for which you would be paid, until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Hiring Manager.
