Burton on Trent, Staffordshire, (DE13 8EN)

Hours:
Monday to Thursday 07:30 to 16:00pm and Friday 07:30am to 12:30pm, 37 hours per week


Contract type:
Permanent, Full-Time

What you will be doing

  • To support the development, implementation, and maintenance of compliant safety, health, and environmental management systems across all activities
  • Advising on legislation and best practice and auditing compliance to identify areas of improvement.
  • Assist in the implementation of a continuously improving SHE management system and directives.
  • Provide an occupational health, safety, and environmental service to operational activities and its personnel.
  • Work closely with responsible Managers, and other key staff to establish and maintain key Health, Safety, and Environmental improvements within their areas of responsibility.
  • Support the site audit programme, ensuring compliance with all associated legislation and management system requirements.
  • Carry out all audits and ensure that any remedial recommendations are followed up.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous safety, health, and environmental improvement and implement programmes to deliver these.
  • Participate and support in accident and incident investigations, ensuring the meeting of statutory reporting deadlines to HSE where applicable, establishing root causes, and suitable and sufficient controls.
  • Develop and monitor H&S key performance indicators, providing management with statistical analysis and taking action where necessary.
Are you an individual with the following?

  • NEBOSH Certificate in Safety, Health, and Environment
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering HSE training.
  • Experience in working and developing an integrated management system.
  • Excellent understanding of Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation.
  • Sound IT skills (particularly Excel).
