Are you passionate about supporting individuals who are Visually Impaired and wish to start a career as a Rehabilitation professional?

We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic Apprentice looking to achieve a qualification in Rehabilitation-Visual Impairment whilst gaining experience working with our friendly team of staff who provide services to Visually Impaired adults.

The role:

Under the supervision of the Team Manager and support from our Rehabilitation Team, in this apprenticeship role you will learn the skills required and work towards to achieve your qualification, providing assessment and rehabilitative training which includes daily living skills and mobility training and low vision advice for adults with visual impairments or who are Deafblind living in Northumberland.

What we are looking for:

You will have knowledge of sensory disabilities, health and safety, risk assessment/management and of the range of resources available across the Northumberland area.

You will be a confident communicator at all levels and have experience in working with people with visual impairment. Strong IT skills are required and flexibility to work as required.
