As a HR Services Manager you will be able to develop, support and motivate the team to maximise their own potential, and work collaboratively with colleagues across the organisationas well as within HR to deliver on shared goals.
About the HR Services Manager Role:
Responsible for a team of six and delivering HR services to an organisation of circa 700 people across multiple locations, you will be responsible for the delivery of timely, accurate and customer focused HR and payroll processes and administration services.
You will be responsible for the effective delivery of payroll, first and second line HR advice, HR administration, and full employee lifecycle process management, as well as maintaining and developing HR policies and procedures and reports.
You will managesuppliers (including payroll outsource) and be responsible for annual HR projects such as annual renewals, pay review and other significant events in the HR calendar.
This is a broad and varied (and exciting) role - you won't be able to deliver all of that on your own so you will also need to be a strong line manager who knows how to get the best out of a team.
Beyond delivering operational people services requirementsefficiently and effectively there are plenty of opportunities to exercise and further develop your existing HR knowledge and skills.
This is a full time, hybrid role working from home and from our office in BirminghamSkills and Experience Required for the HR Service Manager:
- Managing a HR services delivery team responsible for managing employee lifecycle processes and administration, including HR reporting.
- Payroll processing and managing an outsourced payroll service
- Managing first and second line employee relations issues
- Effective line management skills someone who can motivate, engage and manage team performance and service delivery
- Managing external suppliers
- Managing end to end processes and driving continuous improvement to give a great customer experience and improve efficiency
- Delivering HR services in a SLA/KPI driven environment
- Managing projects and/or end to end HR lifecycle events e.g. pay review.
- You will be able to balance many competing priorities, and deliver your own work as well as make sure the team deliver theirs
- A solution orientated, confident decision maker who can respond to ambiguous situations
- Someone who thrives in working at pace, resilient in the face of challenges and changing priorities.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a hybrid role and will be based in our Birmingham office approx. two days a week, and from home the rest of the week.
