Accounts Admin Job brief
We are looking for an Accounts Administrator to manage our company's accounts payable and receivable.

Accounts Administrator responsibilities include reviewing and reconciling accounts, processing payments and creating sales invoices and chasing debt. To be successful in this role, you should have a Finance or Accounting background and be familiar with bookkeeping.

Ultimately, you will ensure we process all financial transactions accurately and on time. You will be reporting to our Accounts Manager.


Responsibilities

  • Daily bookkeeping
  • Manage obligations to suppliers, customers and thirdparty vendors
  • Process bank deposits
  • Reconcile financial statements
  • Prepare, send and store invoices
  • Contact clients and send reminders to ensure timely payments
  • Submit tax forms
  • Identify and address discrepancies
  • Report on the status of accounts payable and receivable
  • Update internal accounting databases and spreadsheets and report any financial discrepancies to management
- managing the flow of petty cash

  • Ensuring that suppliers are informed of any changes to service agreements and payment options

Requirements and skills

  • Proven work experience as an Accounts Administrator or similar role
  • Good knowledge of bookkeeping procedures and debt collection regulations
  • Handson experience with accounting software
  • Attention to detail and self motivated
  • Ability to converse and communicate with suppliers, customers and team members
  • Good knowledge of Excel (using formulas and creating spreadsheets)
  • Solid data entry skills with an ability to identify numerical errors
  • Good organisational and timemanagement abilities
  • Sage 50 or Sage Intact experience is desirable but not mandatory

Job Type:
Fixed term contract

Contract length: 6 months


Salary:
£23,484.00-£27,716.00 per year
