Novo Technologies are looking to hire a highly motivated Fibre Planner / Scheduler to push and be responsible to plan and coordinate the delivery of fibre customer orders/projects through the companies' sub-contractors and internal fibre delivery teams.
The Fibre Planner / Scheduler is also responsible for reporting the status and progress of individual customer orders to the and project manager and or director.
The Fibre Planner / Scheduler must combine a strong technical knowledge of fibre services with good planning, organisational and communication skills, detail-oriented in order to achieve orders right first time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Scheduling and prioritisation of planning work activities.
- Progress reporting on planning work activities.
- Owning, executing and delivering planning requirements within a geographic region.
- Carry out detailed survey work in your area.
- Good understanding of Network build disciplines.
- Highlight and escalate major design variances to the planning base.
- Advise Permitting staff of noticing and ensure it is completed in a timely manner
- Flexible approach in dealing with amendments to planned information. Ensure accurate completion of all planned submissions and work is completed on time.
- Become proficient to highlight and escalate major design variances.
- Be a team player and help promote good relationships internally and externally.
Education and Experience
- Qualification in Project Management / Prince 2 desirable
- Knowledge in the Telecom Industry advantage
- Proven track record of planning successful projects.
- Ability to draw together different technical disciplines.
- Able to communicate with people across multiple locations and at different levels.
- Able to identify and work with key stakeholders inside and outside of the business.
- Attention to detail and accuracy coupled with a 'can do' attitude.
- A total awareness and understanding of current health and safety procedures for working in the UK is essential.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and being PC literate
- MS Word, Excel, Microsoft Project
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to handle confidential information
- Strong record keeping skills
- Presentation skills
