Hours Per Week: 40hrs, Monday - Friday

The Electrical Supervisor shall:

  • Manage a team of electricians, helpers & apprentices.
  • Oversee supply chain subcontractors.
  • Manage health, Safety, quality, and environmental performance in accordance with company procedures.
  • Manage weekly time reporting & ensure all labour time is reported accurately and on time.
  • Place orders for materials to ensure no downtime for labour or delays to programme.
  • Attend technical, progress & risk reduction meetings along with management team, clients, stakeholders and design teams.
  • Provide technical input regarding design/coordination issues.
  • Schedule daily labour resource tasks to all direct report operatives.
  • Coordinate with other trades and supply chain subcontractors.
  • Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with design specifications, industry best practice, statutory requirements, and company quality standards.
  • Regularly meet with clients & stakeholders to ensure works that are carried out in a live environment are with mínimal disruption to end users.
  • Ensure all works are completed to highest quality standards.
  • Manage works to deliver as per agreed programmes and put in place sufficient measure to mitigate potential delays.
  • Carryout selfreporting audits & address nonconformances.
  • Report to senior management overall contract performance.
  • Mentor and support apprentices throughout their training programme.
  • Oversee completion of operation & maintenance manuals, as fitted drawings.

About You:


Essential Criteria- Electrical Installation Qualification to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.

  • Normal eyesight colour vision.
  • Highly experienced in Electrical installation works for commercial and industrial installations.
  • Current 18th IET Wiring Regulations.
  • Demonstrate relevant previous experience in a similar role (minimum 3 years).
  • Competent in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite and ideally Project.
  • Full UK drivers' licence.
  • Proven Leadership and people management skills.
  • Ability to successfully complete security clearance (Non-Police Personnel Vetting and Access NI).

Desirable Criteria

  • Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) / Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS).
  • City and Guilds 2394/ Level 3 qualification.
  • Current 18th IET Wiring Regulations (Current amendments).
  • High Voltage awareness training.
  • Manual Handling training.
  • COSHH training.
  • Confined space training.
  • IPAF card holder.
