We are a rapidly growing company providing quality 'bespoke' kitchens.
This is a key role which will ensure we provide the highest standard of customer service with an efficient, organised office support.
BOOKKEEPER
The Bookkeeper is to maintain the day-to-day financial transactions across two companies.
Responsibilities:
- Entry of Supplier Invoices onto Xero,
- Entry of Customer Invoices onto Xero,
- Collect information for and prepare payroll payments for employees for outsourced payroll supplier,
- Enter supplier payments and customer receipts onto Xero,
- Supplier Statement Reconciliation,
- Bank Reconciliation including entry of any other receipts and payments,
- Process and Reconciliation of Petty Cash,
- Process Company Expenses and Reconciliation of Company Credit Cards,
- Process Sales Invoices and Credit Notes,
- Raise Sales Invoices and Issue Credit Notes on CRM database/Xero,
- Credit Control,
- VAT returns,
- Accruals,
- Collect, enter and review data for financial reports,
- Preparation of monthly profit & loss for sister company,
- Coordinate collation of timesheets and analyse the data with accurate attention,
- Report any discrepancies,
- Answer questions and provide assistance to customers as needed,
- Reconcile any discrepancies or errors identified by conversing with employees or customers,
- Suggest improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, and cost reductions,
- AD hoc duties.
Requirements and skills:
- 3 years + of bookkeeping and administration background,
- Intermediate/Advanced Excel and Word skills,
- Previous experience within an equivalent Finance role,
- Knowledge of Xero desired but not essential,
- Knowledge of payroll desirable,
- Knowledge of the Construction Industry Scheme and Domestic Reverse Charge VAT,
- Organisational and timemanagement skills,
- Customer service skills,
- Attention to detail.
Reporting:
- The Bookkeeper reports to the General Manager within Bryan Turner Kitchens.
Salary £23-£24,000K pro-rata
