Ginkgo is a small, friendly arts consultancy working with public and private sector clients to commission artists and designers to create works of place based art and design within public places accross the UK.
Status:
Employed.
Part time: 16 hours per week: Flexible hybrid working based 50% of time in office and 50% of time at home or more time in office if desired.
Hourly rate/salary:
Part time:
Two days per week £15 per hour (£12,480 p.a) 12 days leave per year inclusive of pro rata eight days bank holidays.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- To provide business and office administration support to enable the smooth running of Ginkgo Projects and two small not for profit companies. (One charity and one CIC)
- All aspects of bookkeeping for all companies. (by use of Sage One Accounting and Sage Payroll)
- VAT, Construction Industry Scheme and Companies House administration.
- All financial reporting ie cash flows, assisting with budgets etc
- Raise invoices and maintain sales ledger.
- Credit control monitor receipt of payments. Report on late payments and chase for settlement if required.
- Record and pay purchase invoices. (By BACS)
- Liaise with banks, set up new accounts and monitor bank accounts. Uptodate transaction balance information available for all accounts online. Undertake regular bank reconciliation of all accounts.
- Produce & maintain project spreadsheets to manage collection of fees and monitor project expenditure ensuring collection of all reclaimable expenses.
- Prepare statutory company reports.
- Payroll prepared with use of Sage Payroll. Submit end of year payroll online.
- Book travel and accommodation for Project Team.
- Arrange and update all insurances policies.
- Arrange Pension auto enrolment
- Prepare & upkeep staff manual.
- Liaise with accountant on Director's personal tax liability and reimbursements of business mileage.
- Manage office ie Health & Safety issues, holiday rotas, etc
- Stationery monitor stock and order as required.
- Undertake other duties and tasks as may lie within the scope of the office's business requirements.
SKILLS
- Competent IT skills in MS Word, Excel and Access.
- AAT or equivalent desirable
- Experience in Sage computerized accounts and payroll packages.
- A working knowledge of corporation tax and charitable accounting an advantage.
- Excellent communications skills and telephone manner.
- Ability to work unsupervised, prioritize tasks and manage workload and develop the role.
