Description

Warehouse Coordinator


As a Warehouse Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in our busy warehouse, ensuring the efficient handling of goods and materials.

You will be responsible for various tasks, including unloading and loading goods, receiving shipments, and maintaining the integrity of our warehouse operations.

You will also assist with deliveries and collections using company vehicles.


Summary of Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure all incoming deliveries match their respective delivery notes and report any discrepancies to your manager promptly.
  • Receive incoming shipments, unload delivery vehicles, label items, and repack materials to prevent damage during storage or transit.
  • Properly store goods within the warehouse/stores, utilising shelving, bins, or pallets for efficient organisation.
  • Accurately book out items leaving the warehouse, record all transactions, and ensure paperwork is submitted to the office in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to all warehouse policies, procedures, and legal requirements to maintain a safe and compliant working environment.
  • Assist with periodic stock takes, including endofyear stock checks, ensuring accurate counts and records.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy warehouse, ensuring that no items are left in unsafe positions or locations.
  • Provide support to the office team by assisting with packing and checking tasks as needed.
  • Adhere to safety protocols to prevent accidents and minimise the risk of damage to goods and equipment.
  • Make deliveries and collections to suppliers using company vehicles.

Skills and Attributes Required

  • Prior experience working in a manufacturing/engineering stores/warehouse environment is essential.
  • Basic knowledge of reading engineering drawings or a strong willingness to learn.
  • Ability to manage complex tasks and work efficiently under pressure while effectively communicating with other team members.
  • Experience in forklift operation, with a preference for Reach forklift experience (training available if necessary).
  • Competence in using Office 365 and Sage200 software for inventory and administrative tasks.
