Description

We are looking for a Senior Contracts Specialist to join our Contracts team to deal with the review of customer terms and conditions of contracts relating to the purchase of all JDR's products and services.

This is a wide and encompassing role in a dynamic company within Offshore Wind, Tidal, and Oil & Gas Industries.

As part of a small and supportive team you will be responsible for:

Reviewing terms and conditions of contracts and advising on JDR exceptions.
Conducting contract negotiations with customers, to agree mutually acceptable contract terms that minimise risks to JDR.
Contractual input to bid submissions and finalising contracts with the customer.
Reviewing customer contracts and/or purchase orders in relation to terms and conditions.
Consulting with external law firms to gain uptodate legal advice pertaining to contracts in order to minimise risks to JDR.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
A qualified Solicitor, CILex Professional or with some form of formal legal qualification would be preferable.

You will have experience of dealing with terms and conditions of contracts, and possess a solid understanding of Contract Law.

Whilst a legal qualification is preferred, we will also consider applicants with engineering / technical qualification who have significant experience of dealing with the terms and conditions of contract.

You will have strong communication skills with the ability to confidently communicate with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

You will be able to work calmly under pressure, often dealing with conflicting demands on your time. You will be experienced at producing work to tight deadlines, whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail.

You should be ideally located in a commutable distance to one of our offices: Littleport (Cambridgeshire), Newcastle or Hartlepool for adhoc visits as this role can be either worked remotely or as a Hybrid Working arrangement.
