Role Context:


You'll be:


  • Advise, inform and coach management to ensure and maintain compliance to the Operational Risk Management process.
  • Keep management informed and aligned with new risk management strategies and initiatives which enhance the Operational Risk Management Process.
  • Revise and implement site Operational Risk Management process/procedure and associated risk management tools.
  • Review & update baseline risk assessment following HAZID / HAZOP studies.
  • Review all new or revised risk assessments in relation to the Operational Risk Management Procedure, Standards and Specifications.
  • Conduct research and gather info to facilitate issuebased risk assessments as and when required e.g. change management, new projects, post incidents, special requests, etc.
  • Promote safety management principles, definitions, and terminology to ensure one approach to the identification and management of risks.
  • Participate in internal compliance audits, e

45001, SHE Way in relation to Operational Risk Management and Control Monitoring.

  • Monitor compliance to the Operational Risk Management process and the effectiveness of same (quality assurance)
  • Ensure the correct types and quality of risk assessments are in place for all critical tasks | controls.
  • Advice management on compliance to Operational Risk Management.
  • Review / conduct risk assessments following events and take part in same incident investigations to enhance the LFI process

You'll have:


  • Extensive experience working in a HSE role (preferably Mining, Oil & Gas, Process) is essential
  • Experience in Major Hazard industries (Mining, Oil & Gas) is desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading / facilitating Risk Assessments.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Risk Assessment tools, specifically HAZID, Bowtie, HAZOP.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of leading and lagging indicators related to HSE.
  • Ability and willingness to learn bespoke IT systems applicable to the role.
  • Excellent written, oral communication and interpersonal skills
