Our client is a leading food business who supply to a variety of the major retailers.

As they continue to expand and grow their presence in the marketplace they are now seeking a driven and ambitious Quality or Technical Manager to join their business.

This role is an excellent opportunity for a Food or Fresh Produce professional looking for their role upwards to join a well-respected food manufacturing company that supplies premium products to a number of retailers.

Responsibilities:

Ensure the highest standards of quality, safety and legality are met and exceeded
Maintain and update the Quality/Technical Manual and policies and procedures
Coordinate regular HACCP meetings and manage the implementation of customer standards
Liaise with customers and manage customer visits and presentations
Manage and oversee the quality team and carry out internal auditing of systems
Monitor and maintain customer/supplier specifications and capture customer complaints and trends
Adaptable to travel within and outside of the UK on business as and when required
Maintain a health and safety orientated environment for self and others
Report any offensive or malicious behaviour to management
Any other reasonable duties deemed necessary to the needs of the business

Requirements:

Understanding of QC procedures and customer specifications
Knowledge of the Prophet system and advanced I.T skills
Level 4 food safety, Internal auditor, Level 3 HACCP, TACCP, VACCP, and basic food hygiene trained
Educated to GCSE (or equivalent) as a minimum
Internal audit qualification, Intermediate HACCP qualification as a minimum, and trained to BRC requirements
Good communication and problem solving skills, and understanding of the industry
