Admin Assistant - OTDT Hub Operations
Job Summary
Hub Operations forms the central hub in the donation and transplantation pathway and provides support to both Specialist Nurses for Organ Donation and Transplant Centres in relation to placing organs for transplantation.
You will undertake an extensive induction and training programme and receive ongoing development to support you in your role and achieving your career ambitions.
This diverse role plays a vital part in helping patients receive much needed organ transplants and provides a real sense of satisfaction in having helped support this vital life-saving service.

Main duties of the job
You will be required to undertake administration and clerical duties in support of the team responsible for managing the processes and procedures associated with registrations, matching and allocation and follow up, in the Organ and Tissue Donation and Transplantation (OTDT) Operations Hub.
Typically these duties will involve:
- Updating and maintaining Organ Donor/recipient Records, associated information, correspondence and communication
- Dealing with queries and issues from the Operations Leads in ODT Hub and progress to resolution.
- Ensuring all administrative work complies with our standards and procedures in line with our governing bodies.
- Ensuring all records are up to date and accurate.
- Receiving and making telephone calls.
- Maintaining manual and electronic filing systems
- General office/administration duties to support the daytoday function of the department.
About You
Experience and Knowledge
- Experience of working in a administrative role, including coordinating meetings/events and data inputting
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), or equivalent Systems, in order to produce reports, letters, presentations and simple spreadsheets
Qualifications and Training
- Equivalent experience in an admin role
OR NVQ level - Demonstrable workplace experience using various IT packages
OR European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) (part I & II) or ITQ2, or CLAIT II, or OCR (RSA) level 2 in text/word processing
OR demonstrable workplace experience
