Description

A trainee role with the Advancing Clinical/Nurse Practitioner (Cardiac) working on developing knowledge and skills and building on experience, to enable the following progression within an agreed, suitable period of training, supervision and assessment of competence.

Working towards taking responsibility for managing practice, using an advanced level of professional accountability, autonomy and judgement for highly complex decision-making across a broad range of situations/conditions encountered in Cardiology patients.

Working towards working autonomously, using advanced knowledge and skills, underpinned by theory and experience, to assess patients using a range of methods across a broad range of, often complex, patient conditions.

Working towards planning and managing care, working in partnership with others, delegating and referring as appropriate, to optimise health outcomes and resource use, as well as providing direct support to patients and carers.

Working towards acting as a resource to others and to the delivery and evaluation of a range of relevant specialist programmes of education and development for individuals and large groups.

Support and time to grow in to this post will be given.

However, due to the complexities of the role, we are only interested in applicants who are academically / clinically experienced, confident, and can work autonomously under pressure.

Employees are expected to develop the IT skills necessary to support the tasks included in their post. They will, therefore be required to undertake any necessary training to support this.
