Grafton Banks Finance is working exclusively with a growing organisation in the heart of Brighton on the hiring of a permanent Financial Controller.

Boasting international expansion this firm offers a huge opportunity for a fully Qualified and exceptional individual, to take full responsibility for the US financial operations.

You will work alongside the Group Finance Director in the Brighton office,and we'd envisage that there could be travel to the US couple of times a year.

Role responsibilities include:

Oversee monthly close and annual close with a focus on clearing AR/AP accounts, releases from restrictions, accruals and reconciliation of special projects
Consolidation of monthly P&L of all USA entities and variance analysis
Create, sustain and monitor appropriate and effective forecasting models for USA cashflow
Lead the USA budget and forecast processes
Review and enhance all financial processes, controls, and systems across the US group to improve consistency and compliance
A proactive member of the US Senior Management Team
Support Group Finance Director and US Managing Director to perform financial planning and analysis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA or ACCA qualified accountant, ideally qualified in practice with 5-10 years accountancy experience, as well as 5+ years of supervisory experience, and a desire to build and lead team.

Previous working with US GAAPis NOT essential. You'll occasionally be expected to attend Teams meetings with US late afternoon/ early evening UK time. Other than that, you'll be keeping a standard UK working day alongside the UK Finance team in Brighton. The role could be full-time orpart-time (4 days).
