Reporting to the Head of Commercial and Contracts, this role is responsible for carrying out the administration of the commercial and financial aspects of the crane subcontracts.

The role will involve working closely with the technical focal point and vendors delivering crane and lifting services.


With a robust background in Commercial / Contracts / Quantity Surveying at a senior level, you will play an essential role in the successful completion of crane maintenance and operation services.

You will be responsible for estimating costs, assessing project specifications, monitoring project budgets, and ensuring cost control measures are implemented.

Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and knowledge of lifting and crane operations will contribute to the overall success of our projects.


Details/duties:


  • Manage, supervise and mentor members of the SMC team on commercial aspects to aid their development.
  • Provide commercial input with crane vendors tender enquiries, precontract meetings, analysis, recommendation, contract vetting and subcontract documents.
  • Commercial management of subcontractors including payments / contract administration / claims & variations / cost variances /cost performance / value engineering / final accounts.
  • Monitor cost of site resources and timely production of reliable cost performance data
  • Produce monthly cost and value reports, quarterly reports and present to senior management
  • Take part in discussions concerning project performance and provide commercial input to crane delivery strategy
  • Proactively manage and highlight risks in a timely manner to identify, where possible, savings and efficiencies.
  • Collaborating with technical focal point and vendors to manage the delivery of crane services, KPIs, and objectives, including programme performance, cost control, and value engineering.
  • Contribute to and attend financial and progress meetings with clients and subcontractors as required
  • Checking timesheets and staff allocations for crane services on all assets, agreeing final accounts with subcontractors.
  • Drive improvements in the accuracy of forecasts and budgets.

Qualifications/Experience required:


  • Oil & Gas Maintenance activities (Contract /Performance) experience
  • Expert understanding of Contract and Commercial agreements
  • Expert understanding of Commercial management including cost controls and management of change
