Wrexham
£80-85k plus car and package
Great opportunity to work in the food industry with a well-established HR team.
A site-based Head of HR role with a remit to review people plans and get involved in project and change management.
This role is fundamental to the Senior Leadership Team and heading up the HR teams for the business.A great opportunity for someone familiar with the pace and agility to switch priorities at any point during the day which, if you are used to FMCG or food manufacturing, you will understand.
With new customers and growth in certain channels, there will be projects as well as the strategic, reactionary and generalist areas of this senior HR role.
Other key areas of the role are:
- Key member of the Senior Leadership Team.
- Responsible for setting the HR strategy.
- Heading up the HR team (including L&D and Training).
- Development of people plans.
- Able to reprioritise and react when required as well as operating at a strategic level.
- Strong project management skills.
- A key member of wider HR community in the organisation.
- Reporting to and working closely with the MD.
The ideal background would be a fast paced manufacturing environment - food or FMCG - but strong HR careers in logistics or retail would be transferrable.
To meet the demands of the role your background should also include:
- HR leadership experience in medium to large sized businesses.
- Confident communicator able to drive, challenge and influence at every level.
- Agile, tenacious, and reactive in nature.
- Down to earth and approachable.
- Experience of managing employment issues.
- Collaborative management style.
- Strong Operational HR background familiar with the demands of complex environments.
- Previous experience in customer centric organisations.
- A commercial approach with wider business knowledge.
- Experience of Trade Unions and managing those relationships.
- Adaptable and flexible approach to meet the demands of the environment.
- Intuitive with strong emotional intelligence.
- Effective decision maker.
- CIPD qualified.
