:


About The Role:


  • Assist with environmental input into the deliverables.
  • Reporting to sublot Environmental Manager. Responsible for helping to initiate and then maintain systems to ensure compliance with contract requirements and company standards and targets.

What You'll Be Doing:


  • Helps manage environmental opportunities and financial/programme/reputational risks to the project.
  • Support their line manager in their activities to enable construction.
  • Fully understands the legal and Client requirements/conditions of contract, as they relate to environmental sustainability issues.
  • Helps drive and promote innovation.
  • Helps develop robust and comprehensive processes and site mitigation measures to deal with environmental risks, working collaboratively with the whole project team on the following:
  • Culture and Heritage
  • Ecology
  • Water environment
  • Noise and Vibration
  • Air Quality
  • Climate Change and Carbon
  • Resource sourcing and efficiency
  • Waste Management
  • Land contamination
  • BREEAM, environmental awards and promotion of the JV
  • Helps ensure effective implementation and reporting of monitoring regime.

The following qualities/ experience are essential:


  • An understanding of environmental legislation and principles of environmental management systems.
  • Understanding of the benefits of working collaboratively to obtain the best outcome.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Determination to see tasks through to completion, with excellent planning and organisation skills.

The following qualities/ experience are desirable:


  • Good experience of environmental issues in a work environment.
  • Member of an environmental professional body.
