About You:


We are looking for someone who is customer centric who can foster and deliver a positive customer experience at every stage of the customer journey.

At McCarthy Stone we place our customers at the very heart of our culture and core values, as our Sales Consultant you will bring enthusiasm, tenacity, and excellent interpersonal skills to deliver the sales process for agreed sites; accountable for delivering agreed targets for reservations, completions, rentals, price levels and customer satisfaction


You will be the person that makes a true difference to the lives of our customers, you will advise them on the support and benefits that we can provide in our Retirement Living Plus developments.

Reporting to our Northern Division's Area Sales Manager, this challenging and rewarding role requires the post holder to be a self-starter, empathetic, and be able to determine the needs and requirements of our customers.


You will proactively contact customers who have shown an interest in our developments and provide the best advice on their purchase of the apartment and the lifestyle.

You will be accountable for the sales process which encompasses lead generation and qualification; developing interest and commitment; negotiating pricing, closing sales; whilst ensuring that the customers remain informed, engaged, and committed through to sales completion.


Previous customer-focussed sales experience is a pre-requisite, gained within a similar environment, whether that is within housebuilding, hospitality, care or travel.

With the use of the Company Car/Car allowance provided you will be required to travel to sites across Lancashire region.

Your Attributes

You will have:


  • Previous experience of outbound calling, coupled with proven conversation rate of visit to reservation would be advantageous
  • A valid UK

Drivers Licence:
in the event you are required to visit customers away from the site


You will be:


  • Highly competent in questioning and listening to gain a genuine understanding of the customers' requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt style to suit customer needs
  • Ability to multitask and work to deadlines
  • Proficient organisation and time management skills
  • Ability to handle and manage difficult conversations with customers and third parties
  • Results driven, able to use own initiative, think outside the box, multitask, and work to multiple deadlines.
