HR Business Partnerposition is now available with
Bury Councilon an ongoing temporary contract. Hybrid working is available.


What is the role?


Bury Council are now looking to appoint an experienced HR Business Partner to support workforce solutions improving council services for local residents.


Working closely with HR/OD colleagues, trade unions, and senior managers, you will be joining a employee relations team responsible for managing a varied caseload.

Your principal responsibilities will be to provide accurate HR advise to complex employment issues. You will also develop strategies and solutions to customers in council services, schools, NHS and local businesses.


How will you do this?

  • Provide support to senior managers on a wide range of core employee relations matters, including attendance, conduct, grievance and performance.
  • Assist with redesign activity, organisation of training events and development of HR policies.
  • Review HR data for trend analysis and development of early intervention techniques and exploration of recruitment and retention initiatives.
