Description

As a Barclays Java Software Engineer, you will have an exciting opportunity to join Corporate Data Services team within Barclays Corporate and International area.

Your role will include working on multiple projects or modules to understand requirements,develop and implement Java API solutions and maintaining them.

You will also be accountable for working close with Technical Leads and DevOps team enabling CI/CD pipeline changes by inspecting and modifying existing code base.

Working Flexibly

What will you be doing?:


  • Understanding agile development methodology and practicing it in daytoday work
  • Contributing to cost and effort estimation
  • Leading delivery of high level and lowlevel design documents with middleware strategy, standards and adhering to BEM middleware principles
  • Supporting Data Discovery and Analysis and microservice development using Java
  • Being in charge of storybased development & unit test and adherence to all coding standards
  • Ensuring delivery of highquality code that achieves consistently high code quality and testing coverage ratings and reporting progress in JIRA against assigned activities

What we're looking for:


  • Experience in Java SpringBoot with MongoDB integration
  • Exposure to OOP Concepts /NoSQL (MongoDB) /SQL
  • Relational (Oracle/Teradata)
  • Experience in CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Docker

Skills that will help you in the role:

  • Engineering Graduate or MCA (or equivalent degree/ experience)
  • Exposure to Data modelling /Deployment on Cloud/ System Design
