The Growth Company's Employment team have an exciting opportunity for a Activity Hub Lead Advisor to manage a Rehabilitation Activity Hub within North Yorkshire and lead a team of delivery and support staff to ensure successful delivery of the contract maximise achievement of outcomes and deliver the performance expectations of the Ministry of Justice.

There will be a requirement to travel to other Hubs within the Yorkshire region.


Interviews will be held on the 10th July 2023 for this role

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Service / Hub Manager in ensuring the successful delivery of team targets for commissioners
  • Help manage the relationship with National Probation Service (NPS) and other partners to ensure that sufficient referrals are received to meet service level targets and contract requirements
  • Support the smooth running of the hub by supporting to coordinate hub activities, such as one
- to-one and group interventions

  • Support a team of delivery and support staff to drive high levels of contract performance and create a 'hub' atmosphere and ethos of support and rehabilitation
  • Support the management of the hub premises, and cover for the Hub Manager when they are not on the premises
  • Support the achievement of income targets, delivery staff and managing client spend and office costs
  • Support the development of local relationships to ensure that a good range of provision is provided and can be accessed to support customer needs and their onward journey
  • Engage with, and work closely with, local employers, education and training providers to create opportunities for participants on provision at the hub
  • Coordinate hub delivery of onetoone and groupwork delivered by staff, subcontractors and other partners
  • Develop local relationships and effective marketing activities to ensure the service receives participant referrals to meet contractual requirements
  • Work closely with NPS Offender Manager(s) / Responsible Officer(s) to manage risk and safeguarding
  • Support the management of data integrity and data security, including production and maintenance of the required audit trail
  • Manage a small caseload and be an exemplar practitioner
  • Maintain current knowledge of appropriate market intelligence and business opportunities/threats

About You

  • Experience of managing and supporting other colleagues with caseloads
  • Track record of achieving tangible performance results
  • Experience of maintaining contract compliance and ensuring paperwork is fully compliant
  • Strong understanding of employability and training, preferably within the justice sector and employment industries
  • Good understanding of MI and financial information
  • Good labourmarket knowledge

Skills Required:


  • Ability to confidently present to partner organisations and other stakeholders
  • Ability to produce written reports
  • Fluent user of ICT
  • Good knowledge of guidance and national standards
